Gel Printing Weekend Eitorf – Germany
On Friday, September 4, and Saturday, September 5, I had the pleasure of visiting Gerstaecker’s headquarters in Germany. What an incredibly inspiring and creative weekend!
On Friday, I gave a gel printing workshop to the staff at Gerstaecker. Together, we discovered just how versatile and surprising working with gel plates can be.
On Saturday, I had the pleasure of introducing no fewer than 50 enthusiastic participants to the world of gel printing. Using beautiful Gelli Arts® gel plates, we experimented extensively with acrylic paint. We explored various techniques, created stunning monoprints, and – of course – practiced transfers to produce unique prints.
It was wonderful to see how much fun everyone had experimenting. From young to old, everyone participated enthusiastically, worked hard, and kept discovering new possibilities. And what beautiful results emerged!
The participants tried out various techniques and discovered that, above all, gel printing is about experimenting freely, making discoveries, and – most importantly – having a lot of fun. No two prints are alike, and that is precisely what makes this technique so special.
A big thank you to Gerstaecker for the warm hospitality and the fantastic organization. I look back on this creative weekend with great pleasure! 🎨✨
It was such a joy to get so many people excited about the world of gel printing!
