Immediately after graduating from the art academy in Rotterdam, I began working as an illustrator and joined TopDrawers-Amsterdam—the leading agency for illustrators at the time. There, I took my first professional steps and realized many wonderful projects for various companies, including Rabobank, Shell, KLM, the employment agency START, Safari, and *Bruid en Bruidegom Magazine*. A career highlight was winning the 1996 Rotterdam Advertising Award for an outdoor advertising campaign for the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. After having children, my focus shifted more towards portraits and paintings. In recent years, I have dedicated myself to writing and illustrating my own books.
